I'm a Colorado girl at heart, but had been living in southern California for the past decade or so, and am now roaming the US. My passion for life through a lens really started to bud when I was a student at USC, studying abroad and beginning to travel more independently and in my own style. Through the past years it has really blossomed into an addiction, if you will. I love photography, love learning, love seeing the world in a different light. Film is my passion, however I capture moments on both mediums. If you're looking for me - you can find me exploring this great wide world, usually accompanied by my adventure buddy, Russ Pup.
I've dabbled in photographing everything - from lifestyle and portraits, to beautiful landscapes, to home births. My friends would likely say I'm a travel, landscape, and adventure photographer - getting out on the road any chance I get and always returning with too many photos to show them. I have to say - they know me well. Though I love any type of photography and any opportunity to get behind a lens and capture a beautiful and unique moment, the great outdoors is my strongest passion. That's where Myvannosaurus Rex comes into play.
I've recently finished building out my Ford Econoline (the aforementioned "Rex"), and am off exploring wherever the wind may blow me. I have been dreaming up this trip forever - and finally was called to action, making it happen this past fall. I am traveling the US for the next couple years with a focus on our public lands. I'll be working hard to put together a book on our nation's public lands - BLM lands, US Fish and Wildlife Services lands, US Forests, National Parks, National Monuments, all the good stuff. You can learn more on the Van for Public Land tab and on facebook, and follow my adventures through my blog and social media accounts. My goal is to raise awareness for the conservation of our public lands, to educate Americans on the beauty of our nation, and to get more people out experiencing the great outdoors. So many of us don't even know these places exist, let alone get a chance to see them or understand their significance in our world. I want to change that. A portion of proceeds from my coming book will be donated back to these lands and organizations which vow to protect them and educate us about them and how to enjoy them to their fullest. Please subscribe to my blog to follow along and learn how you can #standforpublicland .
